Meet-a-Doc: Meet Dr. Thomas Priolo!
Hackensack Meridian K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital proudly welcomes Thomas Priolo, M.D., Medical Director of Child and Adolescent Consult-Liaison Psychiatry. In addition to his duties within our hospital, Dr. Priolo is our newest pediatric expert to provide urgent care appointments for behavioral health in Neptune, NJ.
Dr. Priolo is specialized in diagnosing behavioral health conditions, and is experienced in triaging crisis cases for conditions including depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, bipolar, psychotic illness. He is a partner in care with his patients, and serves as an ally for local medical providers and schools in the community for any children that are in a mental health crisis.

Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health is proud to expand its pediatric cardiology services with the exciting addition of pediatric cardiologist, Sharon Weinberger, M.D., FAAP. Dr. Weinberger will be joining the well-respected pediatric cardiology team, under the leadership of Mitchel Alpert, M.D., offering appointments out of Red Bank and Brick.
With 15 years of medical experience, Dr. Weinberger is well-published and clinically specialized in fetal cardiology, echocardiography, and pulmonary hypertension. She is able to treat infants, children, teens and adults with a wide variety of cardiac disorders.

Healthy Beginnings for High Risk Pregnancies
A new concierge program for moms-to-be
Now launched at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, the only program of its kind in Monmouth County. This new concierge program is dedicated to enhancing the pregnancy journey for parents that may encounter a congenital anomaly, abnormality, or may be a high-risk pregnancy.
This program exists to support a family’s pregnancy journey, with full access and a direct line to a licensed RN and educator to assist with:
- Educational diagnosis explanations and discussions
- Priority appointment support and preparation
- Emotional counseling and referrals
- Hospital tours and introductions
In a time that could be filled with stress, Healthy Beginnings creates a direct line of communication and assurance to families.
