   Everybody in the pool – and that means baby too! Did you know that there are a ton of emotional, developmental and physical benefits to getting babies into the water at an early age? Most importantly, this is a wonderful bonding opportunity for parents who want to spend time splashing and smiling with their little one (while also introducing the basics of an important life skill!).

    Goldfish Swim School offers Mini Classes for children starting as early as 4 months of age. Kids ages four to 35 months-old enjoy a weekly 30 minute class in the water with mom, dad or another caregiver working on basic water and swim safety skills with the help of an instructor.  The pool is kept at 90 degrees to make the water inviting and comfortable for all swimmers.

   The classes are fun and interactive for babies and their caregivers! Parents hold their baby while supporting him or her through the various swim skills. Even with an instructor leading the session, parents guide their child and remain involved throughout the class. Mini Class activities include singing group songs, practicing tummy time, and getting little ones comfortable in the water. Babies practice their grasp reflex, move on to holding onto the wall and eventually inching their way down it. With the help of mom or dad, babies work on their pulling paddle, “Superman” glides, sea otter floats and kicks. As babies progress through the Mini Program, they will work on crab walking, getting out of the pool safely by climbing up using the “fin, belly, flipper, flipper” technique and breath control. In addition to weekly Mini Classes, Goldfish offers family swim several times a week so parents can spend time together in the water with baby practicing the water acclimation skills they learned in class.   Gymboree Play and Music classes and programs are uniquely and intentionally designed for early childhood development.     Moms complete a 30-40 minute workout with kids by our side or playing with their friends . Each workout is followed by a 15-20 minute mommy-and-me session focused on the kids (singing, dancing, instruments, bubbles, balls, etc). We have morning and evening classes year round, and evening classes in the Fall and Spring. For Summer and Evening Classes, a babysitter is on-site to entertain older, “non-stroller-aged” kids!

   Wheee Get Fit & Play Stroller Fitness, LLC is a boot-camp-style fitness class for Moms, whose babies can attend in strollers, or older children, playing on the side. These group fitness classes are designed to foster a community of Moms who connect, bond, support, commiserate, and cheer each other on during this “brutiful” (beautiful + brutal) time in our lives called motherhood. It takes a village to raise a child, but it also takes one to raise a Mom! Our classes are judgement- free! We welcome Moms of ALL fitness levels, ages, sizes, and backgrounds!    Hi, I’m Jenn! I’m a mom JUST LIKE YOU.  I have two beautiful earthside babies and I have two angel babies who have helped shape me into the mom I am today. In my journey to motherhood I have been at my highest of highs and lowest of lows.  I know what it feels like to be a stay at home mom, a working mom, a sleep deprived mom, a lost mom, and a mom that feels like (for a second there) I have my shit together. I know what it feels like to need an outlet, a support system, a way to feel like you are not alone.  I know what it feels like to not recognize your body after pregnancy but also appreciate the deep routed strength we all have as mothers. I’m a passionate Elementary School Health and Physical Education Teacher, Certified Life Coach, Owner of a Wellness Company and Certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Fitness Instructor.  Out of the many hats I wear, being a mom is my heart and soul!  I could never be on this journey without the help, love, and support of the village of moms I stand with on a daily basis.  I am beyond excited for the opportunity to bring moms together and give us all a space to be whatever the hell we feel like being.  COME JOIN US!!
