This hill is definitely for the thrill seekers! I had to close my eyes when my son went down for the first time, because it’s quite steep! Not so much for the little ones, but the older kids love sledding here after a big storm!
Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Manalapan, NJ
Located on State Business 33 in Manalapan, Monmouth Battlefield State Park is a great spot for sledding and cross-country skiing. Good for all ages!
Located at 44 Longstreet Rd. in Holmdel. We’ve spent many hours at Holmdel Park in the winter on the sleds, as it’s perfect for the whole family. Definitely a favorite!
PNC Bank Arts Center and Telegraph Hill Park, Holmdel, NJ
Right down the road from Holmdel Park, this spot is a good alternative if the park is a little too crowded!
Howell Public Library, Howell, NJ
A well known spot for sledding in the area, and good for all ages! The library is located at 318 Old Tavern Rd. in Howell.
Cheesequake State Park, Matawan, NJ
Located adjacent to the Hooks Creek Lake parking area, this is a great spot if you live in the Matawan/Aberdeen area. Cheesequake is technically Middlesex County, but close enough for the family to have a fun couple hours sledding!
Wolf Hill Recreation Area, Oceanport, NJ
Located at 3 Crescent Place, Oceanport, this spot is part of our amazing Monmouth County Park system. The hill is a family favorite for sledding in the winter months!
Tower Hill, Red Bank, NJ
Known as a good spot to bring the little ones down the hill after a nice snow storm, this spot is great for a nice hour or two out of the house!
West Park, Rumson, NJ
West Park runs along both sides of Rumson Rd. at the entrance to the Sea Bright Bridge. Bundle up, it’s extra cold closer to the water!!
Glennwood Cemetery/Aldi, West Long Branch, NJ
This hill is located behind the Aldi in West Long Branch. Great for all ages!
