Meet a Mom: Meet Dr. Natalie Woszczak PsyD, NJCSP - The Monmouth Moms
This week’s Meet a Mom is Dr. Natalie Woszczak PsyD, NJCSP, a Monmouth County native, mom of two, and the founder of a private psychological practice in Wall Township. Natalie has built her work around supporting children and families with care, intention, and evidence-based support, all while raising her family in the community she’s always called home. Her story reflects thoughtful growth, deep family roots, and a genuine commitment to helping others navigate some of life’s more challenging moments. We’re happy to share Natalie’s story with you this week!

Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I’ve lived in Monmouth County my entire life. While I moved away for college at Rutgers University, I always knew I wanted to return home afterward. I grew up in Wall Township, and today I’m grateful to be raising my family right here in Wall.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

I have two children. A son (age 6) and a daughter (age 1)

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

One thing that often surprises people is that my husband and I are high school sweethearts. We’ve been together since our sophomore year of high school, something that feels rare these days. I’m forever grateful to have had him by my side through so many major moments in my
life. Between marriage and dating, we’ve been together for over 15 years.

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

Aside from my husband, who is obviously my biggest partner in parenthood, my parents have been an incredible source of support. My father passed away last year, and that loss has caused me to reflect on how fortunate I’ve been to have both him and my mom, not only for the hands-
on support they’ve given my husband and me, but for the example they set. My dad was an incredibly present parent and so invested in helping me reach my goals, and that support never stopped, even after I became a parent myself. The way my parents showed up for our family
continues to guide how I try to show up for my own children. Additionally, we’re also incredibly fortunate to have so much support from my husband’s parents and his entire family. His parents, grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and siblings all live in town, and having them all close by has meant more than I can put into words. Their constant presence and willingness to help has made parenthood feel like something we’re never navigating alone. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by so much family and support as we raise our
children.

I’d also like to thank our amazing nanny, Kristen. After going through the ringer with different childcare providers for my son, finding Kristen shortly after I had my daughter felt like such a gift. She has been incredible with our kids and has supported our family in countless ways,
especially by helping me balance the demands of being a working mom. Because of her, I’m able to focus on my work knowing my children are so well cared for and be fully present with them when I’m home.

Favorite things to do with your kids?

My favorite thing to do with my children is spend time at the beach or with family at the pool. My husband’s family owns Silton Swim School, so we’re often there on summer weekends when camp is not in session, and it’s truly one of my favorite places to be. Being outside, watching my
kids play with all of their cousins, and spending time together as a family is where I feel most
happy.

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!

I am the director of my own private psychological practice, Child Assessment and Psychological Services of New Jersey, LLC located in Wall Township. I originally started the practice as something small, just a way to continue seeing patients on the side while I was working full-time
as a school psychologist in a school district. At the time, my goal was simply to maintain my clinical skills and provide high-quality support to families who needed it. What I never expected was for that “side practice” to grow into a full-time calling. When my father became ill, I stepped
back from full-time work in the school setting and shifted more of my focus to private practice, which became my primary job and allowed for more flexible hours. Over time, the practice expanded organically as more families sought services. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of bringing on three additional therapists who share the same values and commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based care. Together, we specialize in providing therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and families, as well as comprehensive psychological and educational testing and school consultation services.

Our work often involves collaborating closely with parents and schools to help children feel supported across all areas of their lives. At the heart of our practice is a deep passion for helping children reach their full potential and supporting families as they navigate some of their most challenging moments. I personally specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), while every clinician in our practice works with a wide range of concerns including mood disorders, behavioral challenges, and emotional regulation difficulties. Just as importantly, it has always been a priority of mine to make high-quality mental health care accessible and affordable for
families. For that reason, we are in-network with two major insurance companies, allowing us to reach and support more families who might otherwise struggle to access care. We strive to create a warm, supportive environment where children feel understood and parents feel empowered, because no family should feel like they’re navigating these challenges alone. I’ve known since high school that I wanted to be a psychologist and dreamed of one day owning my own practice. This work fills me with gratitude and purpose every single day. Being able to support so many children and families in meaningful ways is incredibly rewarding, and it’s a responsibility I carry with great care.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

This community has been incredibly instrumental in getting me to where I am today. From the very beginning of my private practice, local families placed their trust in me, often through word-of-mouth referrals, which allowed the practice to grow. In addition, other local providers
throughout Monmouth County have been a tremendous source of referrals and professional support. The collaboration, encouragement, and confidence this community has shown in me and my work has been truly humbling and has made it possible for me to do what I love every day,
right here at home.

What is your favorite restaurant in Monmouth County?

My favorite restaurants are Charlie’s in Bayhead for a nice night out, and Talula’s in Asubuy for the best pizza. Both are go-to spots for great food and great atmosphere, depending on the mood.

What is your favorite activity to do with your children in Monmouth County?

My favorite activity to do with my children in Monmouth County is going to Meet Me on Main, when Main Street in Manasquan is shut down every week and the town really comes alive. Walking around together, running into familiar faces, and letting the kids soak in the energy of
the community makes it such a fun and memorable way to spend an evening as a family.

What are your Mom Goals?

My goals as a mom are for my children to always feel loved and supported, to feel confident reaching for their dreams, and to trust in their own abilities, even when things feel challenging.Above all, I hope to raise them knowing they are safe to try, to fail, to grow, and to always come
back to a place of unconditional love and encouragement.
