adolescent psychiatrist. Dr. Kaczka-Weiss has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of behavioral health conditions in children and adolescents, including mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, and trauma- and stressor-related disorders. Additionally, her expertise
encompasses specialized areas such as women’s mental health, where she addresses psychiatric issues during any stage of a woman’s life, including pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Dr. Kaczka-Weiss also focuses on infant and early childhood mental health, which is critical for development, and provides essential psychiatric support for children with medical conditions. Furthermore, she creates a supportive environment for teenagers exploring their gender identity,
offering guidance for both the youths and their parents. Dr. Kaczka-Weiss is committed to fostering a non-judgmental and accepting atmosphere that emphasizes open communication, helping children build resilience, confidence, and self-esteem.

What do patients say about you?
I’m always honored when families share their experiences. Many describe my style as genuine, patient, nonjudgmental, and relatable. I meet children and their caregivers where they are. My patients and their caregivers value that I’m straightforward, honest, and easy to talk to, while still providing thoughtful, evidence-based care.
What is the #1 tip you always share with patient families?
There are so many, it is hard to just pick one. My top tips overall are:
1. Say the feeling out loud.
2. Listen first, fix it later.
3. Celebrate effort.
4. Routines matter.
How do you spend time with your friends and family for fun?
I enjoy needlepointing and traveling. I enjoy any and every activity with my children.
What do you enjoy most about New Jersey?
I love that we experience all four seasons in New Jersey and that there is always something to do. I grew up here with my extended family, and I’m so glad my children get to experience the same thing.
