Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

Fun fact, I grew up in Middletown about 3 streets over from where I live now! I moved to upstate NY for middle school and moved back to Middletown in 2020 right before my first son was born!

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

Noah – 4
Dylan 15 months
Charlie – 5 weeks (born in Jan!)

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

I am a total extroverted introvert, I thrive in social situations but also love to recharge at home!

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

My mom, who lives about 15 mins from me also in Monmouth county. I am truly so grateful to learn from her and go through motherhood with her support. Love you mama!

Favorite things to do with your kids?

There is nothing I love more than going on walks with them. I love the conversation, I love getting us all outdoors, I love that they snack while we walk and we can look at the decorations on homes and animals and all the things and be present without screens all together! But also, I
love food shopping with them, its one of the only ways sometimes to get a good amount of food in my kids – we love to snack and shop and I love to expose them to new foods in the process.

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!

I am a registered dietitian and owner of Happy Strong Healthy, a virtual private practice that uses mindful eating, behavior change management and a health first, weight neutral, unbiased and realistic approach to help clients heal their relationship with food, fitness, body and self
and truly learn and understand how nutrition applies to them. I am also the co-host of the What the Actual Fork podcast, a platform that uses research, experience and fun to help all humans realize that they are made for so much more than
chasing a smaller body.

What I am so so proud of is that Happy Strong Healthy is one of the FIRST nutrition practices to accept insurance and see clients from a weight neutral lens. Helping make care more accessible to those who need it most is one of my greatest passions! We accept over 100 insurance plans from 17 different states and have a team of 10 dietitians available to support any need you have in the nutrition space.
I am also a full time content creator to educate in the nutrition space and combat the misinformation that is shared regularly, and love to partner with brands who share a passion for helping people learn to love food for the way it makes them feel and all the goodness it can do
for our bodies and minds!

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

Word of mouth is truly how my business started and how it has grown. Being able to connect with so many women especially in this community has helped me spread the word on my business and truly just be able to support more people and I am so grateful for that!

What is your favorite restaurant in Monmouth County?

Ok my favorite take out because that is what we do the most of these days! Gabriella’s dinner on a Friday night is my favorite tradition, I love to go to Toast and get that cobb salad with my oldest for brunch and Yumi for sushi is always consistently delicious at home! I also love a girls dinner at Semolina and a date night at Teak.

What is your favorite activity to do with your children in Monmouth County?

I am so grateful for the amazing park system in MoCo, we love to go to all the local parks and also love to go to the beach all year long! Especially in the fall when the beaches are quiet it’s so nice to to be by the water and outside and play! Also so grateful for all the new indoor play spaces coming to town – will be so helpful in the colder months! PLUS wow we are obsessed with Carm’s Farm and Oak Hill Farm to see all the animals and just run and be kids!

What are your Mom Goals?

I started my business prior to having kids and my goal at the time was to be able to be home to raise them while also making a difference in the world. I am about to welcome my third baby home and my big mom goal is to be present in all three of their lives, not miss anything while
simultaneously continuing to grow my private practice and continue to help more people find the customized nutrition education and support they deserve to improve their health outcomes and drown out the misinformation that circulates about wellness in our society. In addition I love
being able to support dietitians in doing the same, providing a business where they can work while also having a work/life balance and freedom for their own schedule is so rewarding.
