At A Child’s Place we do summer outdoors!
The majority of our camp takes place outside in our idyllic back yard–a hidden gem in the heart of Lincroft–which offers a space to run and play games, the wonders of nature to investigate, inspiration for imaginative play, and shady trees under which to simply relax with friends or eat lunch.
Other favorite activities include arts and crafts, digging in the mud hole, and developing interests during our theme weeks.
Theme weeks this year are Amazing Architects, Regatta Races (in our pool!), STEAM Week, ACP Ninja Warrior, Culinary Adventures and Project Runway.
Children use our on-site, outdoor pool every day, with individual attention for weaker and non-swimmers from counselors who go in the pool with them. A Red Cross certified lifeguard is always present, and senior members of ACP staff with many years of experience direct all aspects of camp life.

Do Your Kids Love Horses?
Enroll them in our Riding Programs where they can learn to ride and care for horses by qualified adult instructors.
Our program includes the following:

Students are divided into groups by age and ability

Activities will be based on the level of the student

Each student is assigned a different horse daily for riding, handling, and feeding.

Each student will learn to groom his or her horse, personally

Riding lessons are held daily in the morning and in the afternoon

Special equipment and aides such as a full-sized horse replica will be used for certain demonstrations to make the learning process safe and fun

“Hands on” horse activities such as feeding, grooming, tacking, bathing, clipping, wrapping, etc. are done daily
Our Summer Riding Program runs from June to August, selected days from 9:00am to 3:00pm and we offer before care and after care for our working parents. We have been conducting our riding program since 1970. Our riding program is for children from the age of 7 to 16, for the first time beginner to the competitive equestrian. Your child will be placed in a group by age and ability and will advance individually within the group. Come for one week or the whole summer, many options are available to you.
Your children will learn to ride and care for horses in a safe and fun atmosphere. They will enjoy two riding lessons a day, a hands on lesson daily learning such things as grooming, saddling English, saddling western, lunging, etc., they will also take care of their horses learning the feeding program. They will get a chance to observe a farrier and also a veterinarian plus much more.

Goldfish Swim School (with locations in Middletown and Manalapan) provides swim instruction to children ages 4 months to 12-years-old in a unique setting with highly trained instructors, small class sizes (max 4:1 student to teacher ratio), shiver-free 90-degree pools, and a state-of-the-art water purification system.
In addition to weekly swim lessons, Goldfish Swim School also offers Jump Start Clinics during the summer months. This is our version of swim camp! Jump Start Clinics are four consecutive days of 30-minute swim lessons that focus on everything from the fundamentals of water safety to fine-tuning stroke technique. Students make a month’s worth of progress in just a week!
Jump Start Clinics run from Mid June to the beginning of September. Students receive four consecutive days of 30-minute swim lessons.

GYMBOREE PLAY & MUSIC SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! Gymboree Play & Music School Skills class and Summer Camp features time on our play equipment and time in our school skills room (more of a classroom like setting). It is such a perfect first separation class and/or a great prep for preschool/kindergarten. During the class, we work on shapes, letters, numbers, colors, days of the week, do arts and crafts, science projects, and music and movement. There is time for group and independent play with blocks, puzzles, and plenty of toys. We include time for snack or lunch (location dependent). Gymboree’s classes are all about learning through play. Gymboree Summer Camp has all of the same components of our year round School Skills class with some additional summer themes such as The Great Outdoors, Ocean Adventures, and Travel!

Rolling Hills Day Camp is a magical place, as soon as you arrive on our campus you can see and feel that. The 20 acres of trees, rolling hills, streams and natural surroundings give a “sleep-away camp” feel right here at home. Rolling Hills offers a varied and dynamic program. We combine traditional values with all the modern activities and facilities children and parents desire. Rolling Hills is a state-of-the-art camp with state-of-the-art fun. Experienced staff provide campers with the individualized attention, recognizing both the campers’ needs and the parents’ needs. A Rolling Hills summer combines memories, excitement, friendships and fun that last throughout the year.
Camp starts on Monday, June 24th and ends on Friday, August 16, 2024. Rolling Hills campers can enroll for a 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 week session. Pre-K and K campers can enroll for 3, 4, or 5 days per week. 1st – 7th grade campers can enroll for 5 days per week only. We also offer Teen programs for 7th – 10th graders.

Summertime Surf was founded in 2006 by Shaun McGrath in Belmar, NJ. Summertime Surf is New Jersey’s premier surf school, offering kids’ camps, group programs, and private lessons for all ages and abilities in five locations in Monmouth and Ocean County, NJ.
