Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I’m originally from Tinton Falls, but after meeting my boyfriend in college (Fairfield, CT) and living in the city for four years, we reestablished our roots in Aberdeen for several years and just recently moved to Colts Neck a couple of months ago. We’re Monmouth County residents for life!

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

I currently have one two and a half year old son who is the light of our life. We hope to expand our family soon.

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

I’d like to thank my parents and in-laws for all of the help they provide throughout the week (and sometimes weekends) in watching, and loving, our little boy. More so, I want to thank them for being unbelievable role models to look up to and standards to set as parents for what a family full of love and support looks like. And of course, I need to thank my partner in love and crime, my husband for being my rock through everything, turning into the ultimate Super Dad in balancing everything life throws and we pick up, remaining calm, and bringing excitement and fun to all that we do.

Favorite things to do with your kids?

As cheesy as it is, my favorite part of my day is morning snuggles and pillow talk just playing and being without the stress that the day might bring. Separately I love to cook and bake with my son to see how his little brain works, the creativity and methods he comes up with, and the joy and pride he gets from being a big helper. It’s truly amazing to watch and learn from little when you give them a few objects and leave the rest up to their imagination.

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!

I’m ecstatic to announce we’re hosting the first Health and Wellness Expo, Be Well at Bell, at Bell Works on Saturday, February 3rd. This event boasts a day packed with activities that inspire movement, mindset, motivation, and mood-boosting self care. We’re uniting health, fitness, and wellness entities from within the building and the wider community to enrich your daily life. Attendees can participate in more than four fitness classes, ranging from yoga to functional HIIT training, and attend informative sessions on topics like gut and pelvic floor health, mindset, and hormones.

The expo also offers luxurious self-care experiences, including massages, acupuncture, vitamin shots, cold plunges, stretching, and more. Plus, explore our unique wellness vendor village. This event aims to foster community engagement and become a staple for promoting integrated wellness in our daily routines. Bring your friends for a day out, and get tickets at bewellatbell.com. I can’t wait for the opportunity to meet everyone there.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

This community is incredible in bringing everyone together, knowing that even as things may get difficult, others have gone and done it before me. We are all incredible in our own ways, and this community brings inspiration and motivation to go and fulfill both professional aspirations while basking in all of the fun of motherhood with an incredible little boy.

What is your favorite restaurant in Monmouth County?

Ooooh this is a toughy as it totally depends on the mood since there is such a plethora of deliciousness in this county. While I often crave Italian and the list of my favorites in that cuisine go on and on, I’d have to say Ganga on 34 in Matawan. It’s quaint, a nice atmosphere, cool cocktails, an amazing Asian fusion menu, but mostly there is the most incredible miso marinated chilean sea bass on the menu I have ever tasted that I often dream about.

What is your favorite activity to do with your son in Monmouth County?

My favorite thing that I do with my son in Monmouth County is Melissa’s Musical Aardvarks with Miss Bri through Monmouth County Parks and Recreation. I look forward to these 45 minutes every Tuesday morning to spend quality time with him and other littles and to see how my son continues to evolve with his love of music and growth. It’s amazing looking back at the end of each season the change and growth that’s occurred as we have been participating since he was five months to now two and a half years. Miss Bri radiates love and positive energy.

What are your Mom Goals?

While my Mom Goals continue to evolve and expand and alter, I think they can be summarized across three areas of love, determination, and freedom.

As a mom, my ultimate goal is to have my son grow up in a happy, supportive home knowing that they are loved and accepted for who they are and always have a place and set of arms to hold them. My goal is to know that my son knows I truly care about what’s going on and how they feel in their world no matter how small, and also that we laugh every single day together.

It is also my goal to continue to strive for a sense of balance and determination in who I am trying to become professionally by empowering and elevating the lives of those around me and by unlocking their potential as well as holding them accountable to what I know they can achieve. It is important to me that my child(ren) also see and respect both hardwork and discipline that is required to work towards whatever version of success is set out for.

While it may be difficult, my last Mom Goal is freedom. Freedom to choose how I spend my time whether professionally or personally, freedom to work and play on a timetable that works for me even if that means early mornings or late nights so we can squeeze in some fun during the day. With so much out of our control, I aim to control my narrative and path, which is why I love the quote, “Be strict with your goal and flexible with your methods”.
