This year’s guide is full of local farms and markets, harvest festivals, places to get your pumpkin spice on, indoor and outdoor activities, and lots more! Head to Eastmont Orchards for some family fun this season! A truly iconic Monmouth County destination, Eastmont Orchards has been owned by the Barclay family since 1923. Eastmont takes pride in selling all of our products retail and direct to the consumer via “pick-your-own.” Beginning in September, Eastmont also offers gourds, pumpkins, and more seasonal veggies. The farm provides the perfect backdrop to take Fall fun photos with the fam.
No admissions fees required for entry no matter what day of the week you come! Although Weekends are jamming, Eastmont Orchards also encourages customers to come mid-week to enjoy the view. If you are looking to bring school groups, or large groups with buses, they allow that as well (inquire within). No reservation is necessary! Please direct any questions to [email protected]

We took a little history from the area when naming and designing the restaurant after the Sandy Hook proving grounds. Established in 1874, it became the first us army proving ground to test artillery and other materials. And that’s what we are all about – testing new menu items and specializing in the newest craft beer and cocktails.
We like to mix it up with our events, music, and experience to always keep things fresh and fun. Proving Ground strives to provide events that appeal to all people of all ages. Whether you love art, enjoy craft cocktails, love music or just love Proving Ground – we have an event for you!

Take the Kids Fishing!
The fall is a great time to get outdoors without the humidity and hot sun! We love to tae our daughter fishing to one of the local ponds in Colts Neck, she has a blast! Before you head out, you do need to purchase a fishing license with the NJ Division of Fishing + Wildlife, which can be purchased here!
