Last month I visited my girl, Jess Roberts, at HerSpace Med Spa for a new skincare treatment. I have some rosacea on my face, and sun damage from my younger, carefree years on the beach. Last time I was in, Jess mentioned Moxi laser skin care treatment would be a good option to brighten and eliminate dark spots, and give me an overall glow. I was in!
Moxi is the newest way to refresh and revitalize the appearance of your skin by improving tone and texture and correcting uneven pigmentation. Treatments are a comfortable, little to no downtime procedure that removes visible signs of aging, such as sun spots, age spots, dull-looking skin, and redness. This procedure can be performed during your lunchtime and have you back to your normal daily activities.
Upon arrival for my appointment, Jess gave me a local anesthetic to numb my face. This takes about fifteen minutes. Once completely numb, she started the laser treatment. It didn’t hurt at all, and only felt a little warm over my skin. The entire process took about ten minutes.
Afterwards, she applied a carboxy gel mask, which hydrates the skin, and helps to minimize redness from the treatment, and downtime. Once I was home, my skin was red for a couple of days, and dry (almost like sandpaper), for about a week. However, after the third day, I was comfortable to go out, as it wasn’t noticeable unless you looked at my skin up close.
After about a week, the layer of dry skin, had healed, and I noticed quite a difference in how healthy my skin looked! Results can be visible after one treatment; however, a series of treatments will yield the best results. I plan to get another treatment, and will document my results as I go!
