Meet Jennifer Levi
This weeks meet-a- mom is Jennifer Levi. Jennifer is a local mom that runs Wheee Get Fit+Play, LLC . Jennifer’s passion is working with both pregnant and postpartum moms on their journey to be the very best version of themselves. Read more on Jennifer’s interview below.
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I grew up in Wall township and lived there since second grade. My husband and I now live in the Ramtown Section of Howell for the past three years.
Child(ren) and Age(s)?
My journey to motherhood has not been as easy one. I have two angel babies in heaven. My son Connor was stillborn when I was 38 weeks pregnant (October 19, 2016). Soon after Connor died, I got pregnant again! Unfortunately, we found out she had a fatal birth defect affecting her brain and she died when I was 17 weeks pregnant (April 4th, 2017). Since then I have had 2 beautiful and healthy pregnancies. My earthside babies, Ryan (almost 4) and Maci (2.5).
One thing people would be surprised to know about you.
People may be surprised to know I’m also a Type 1 Diabetic! I was diagnosed when I was 29 and I work at managing that EVERY DAY! Type 1 Diabetes affects EVERYTHING I do and as a busy mom of two toddlers, it can be really tough.
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
“It takes a village” couldn’t be any more true. Every single mom I’ve ever met has helped me through this journey. Parenting is the hardest job I’ve ever had. I couldn’t do it without the help of the amazing mothers that have come before me, my grandma, mom and mother in law, aunts, sister and sister in laws! Family is everything. I also could not be going through the think of it right now without my Wheee Get Fit Community. These moms don’t miss a beat and are always there for encouraging words, helpful hands, positive perspectives, and a shoulder to cry on.
Favorite things to do with your kids?
Taking my kids to the beach brings me the biggest joy. Seeing them enjoy the sand and the water the way I did as a child just makes me heart happy. I can’t wait for the summer to have more days at the beach!
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
My true passion is helping pregnant and postpartum moms regain their energy and start putting themselves first so they can keep up with their kids! I own a group fitness class for pregnant and postpartum moms where they can bring their kids! We do a 30-40 minute workout followed by a 15-20 minute kid time activity. A little something for everyone!! I also offer 1:1 coaching in mindset, nutrition, and fitness. I love using my skills as a Certified Pre/Postnatal Exercise Trainer and Certified Life Coach so inspire, motive, and support moms in reaching their goals.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
The support from this community has helped other moms find a place where they can be themselves. Support through this motherhood journey has meant the world to me. Knowing you’re not alone whether it’s your motherhood struggles, business ventures and trying to find balance in juggling it all has be super helpful and a motivating factor to getting me to the place I am at now. Soooo excited for what’s to come!
