Go Apple Picking at Eastmont Orchards!

A truly iconic Monmouth County establishment, Eastmont Orchards (formerly Delicious Orchards) has been owned by the Barclay family since 1923. In those days apples grown in this area were sold locally or shipped by barges out of Red Bank, down the Navesink River all the way to New York City. Later, as transportation improved, fruit was shipped directly to supermarkets or exported from the shipping ports of New York City and Philadelphia. Today they sell all of our products retail and direct to the consumer via “pick-your-own.”

Beginning in September, Eastmont also offers gourds, mums, pumpkins, bales of hay, and more seasonal veggies. The farm provides the perfect backdrop to take Fall fun photos with the fam. Planning professional pictures this season? You can schedule your session on the farm too! Click here for more information.

Although Weekends are jamming, Eastmont Orchards also encourages customers to come mid-week to enjoy the view. If you are looking to bring school groups, or large groups with buses, they allow that as well. No reservation is necessary! Please direct any questions to [email protected] for more information or check out our FAQ portion of their website.

Take the Kids Fishing!

The fall is a great time to get outdoors without the humidity and hot sun! We recently took our daughter fishing to one of the local ponds in Colts Neck, and she had a blast! Before you head out, you do need to purchase a fishing license with the NJ Division of Fishing + Wildlife, which can be purchased here! There is a full list of parks you can go fishing throughout the Monmouth County Park System, which can also be found here!

Walk Around Red Bank

Red Bank is one of our favorite spots to park the car around the holidays and just walk around. It’s small enough to bring the little ones, and you don’t have to walk miles to get anywhere, there’s still plenty to do! Start by grabbing a coffee at Rook. The whole family always has a good time at Yestercades, where you can play vintage video games at hourly rates. Swing by Marine Park, do some shopping, and grab some lunch or dinner at Dublin HousePatrizia’s, or Birravino.
