Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I grew up in Colts Neck until I left for Villanova University.  After college I lived in Hoboken for a few years where I met my husband.  In 2009, we moved back to Monmouth County in Fair Haven to start a family.  We have spent the last 11 years building roots in Fair Haven and raising our three girls.

Children and Ages?

Mia is 11, Brooke is 8, Lexi is 14 months

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

I have visited 46 states!  Between traveling for work and for pleasure, I have been to most of the US.

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

It definitely takes a village to raise a family especially as a working mom!   I am very lucky to have many family members to thank for helping me.  I would especially like the thank my mom, Gina Petillo, as she is always my go to, my back up and my helping hand when I need it.  She is also there to give me advice on raising strong young girls.

Favorite things to do with your kids?

Our favorite thing to do is go to the beach and travel.  We spend most of our summer at Surfrider Beach Club enjoying the beach with friends.  My husband’s family is in Florida and we love going down there to see the grandparents and cousins.  Of course, soaking in the sun is always a bonus!

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!

I am a Vice President for Northern Trust Asset Management where I sell Exchange Traded Funds to Financial Advisors in the tri-state area.  My true passion is being a member and volunteering for Impact 100 Jersey CoastImpact Jersey Coast is a women’s grant making collaborative in Monmouth County. We pool our dollars, resources and talents to award six-figure grants to local nonprofit organizations.  Since its start in 2015, we have awarded more than $1.6 million to 14 Monmouth County nonprofits. I really love how Impact is built for the busy woman and how it gives me an eye-opening view of the many needs in our community and the amazing nonprofit organizations that are working hard to address unmet needs and reach underserved populations. I also love the women empowerment aspect and having the unique opportunity to meet other talented and dynamic women here in Monmouth County!

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

I have always been grateful to have grown up in Monmouth County. It’s a very special place which is why I knew I wanted to return to raise my children here. As a working professional and mom of three I recognize the importance of having a strong support system and striking the balance of excelling in my career, raising a family, and engaging in community life. Living in Monmouth County enables me to strike that balance and to truly enjoy life- even in these most chaotic yet gratifying years.
