Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?

I grew up spending summers in Monmouth County since I was in diapers. We just recently relocated to Little Silver and it’s great to finally call The Shore our home.

Child(ren) and Age(s)?

Girls – Genevieve (4 ½) and Rosalie (2 ½)

One thing people would be surprised to know about you…

My favorite ice cream flavor is Hoffman’s Chunky Monkey. On a cone with chocolate sprinkles. Heaven!

Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?

My husband Bert. He’s also a surgeon and understands the same demands of integrating family life with a professional career. We are fortunate to have an amazing nanny, Chemi, who has been instrumental in our daughters’ development.

Favorite things to do with your kids?

The hokey pokey!

Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!

I recently opened Parcells Plastic Surgery, my own private practice in Shrewsbury.

My goal is to empower the everyday woman and celebrate her natural beauty. Whether you’ve been insecure about a specific part of your body your entire life, or you are unhappy with the effects of aging, pregnancy or breast feeding – you are entitled to an educated discussion to see what your options are. Only then can you decide what’s best for you. As a woman and mother, I get this – and I’m here to help.

How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?

I love the sense of cohesiveness here. I’ve joined several Facebook groups and met some wonderful moms on our local playgrounds and beaches. Everyone is doing their best during these uncertain times, and it’s comforting to know we are all in this together.  People are proud to be a part of this community and want to ensure it continues to be a wonderful place to raise children.

What is your favorite restaurant in Monmouth County?

I just went to Maeberry in Avon-by-the-sea. The food is incredible and the staff are working their butts off.

What is your favorite activity to do with your child(ren) in Monmouth County?

I love to read to them. I’m bummed the local libraries are closed, but we are still borrowing books and participating in take-home crafts and activities they offer.

What are your Mom Goals?

I want my children to learn the importance of taking care of themselves as well as members of our community, and our planet.
