Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
Born and Raised in West Long Branch! I attended Shore Regional High School + then went off to play D1 hockey for Kent State University until i graduated in 2005. I moved to Little Silver in 2007 and have been here ever since!
Child(ren) and Age(s)?
Boy mom! I have 2 boys
Charlie who is 13 and Michael who is 7.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I am an open book. What you see is what you get with me and I have always been very honest so I don’t think there are many things that would surprise someone! If I had to pick one, I would say that many people may not know my sensitive side. Being a personal trainer I think to many I come off tough and confident, which, I am, but I also am human and am a softy at heart!
Favorite things to do with your kids?
I am a super active person so having two young energetic boys keeps me going even more! We love to go on bike rides, play soccer, basketball and any other sport that feeds into our competitive nature! But we are also always in for a good movie or game night!
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
I started working as a personal trainer in 2005 after I graduated college – I worked anywhere and everywhere in Monmouth County including WOW where I met my husband!
After five years of working for other gyms i decided it was time to go for it and branch out on my own! I realized there was a calling for more female oriented trainers focusing on our physique and helping us work towards our goals. I went all over training people in their own homes and eventually set up a studio in my own home where I would begin training clients.
In 2015 Buff Brides To Be
was born and boy did it take off! I was training brides who were prepping for their wedding day as well as women (my Buff Beauties) who just wanted to look & feel their best! Training my clients is so much more than just that. I love working with clients and watching not only their bodies transform but their mentality as well! It is truly incredible and inspiring to see how moving your body a few times a week can really change a persons perspective.
Like they always do my baby eventually grew and in 2019 Buff Brides To Be
made the move out of my perfect little in home studio to our location now, in Shrewsbury! My main focus is 1:1 training, buddy training + we also take small group training as well! Buff Beauties
is a boutique personal training studio. We keep the groups small so we really make an impact + connection with each and every client!
With the recent changes due to COVID-19 we, like everyone else, had to adapt. Nothing was going to stop us! We began our online training program “Get Buff from Home” as well as added in personal FaceTime training sessions.
I love getting to know my clients + helping them achieve their goals! My mission is getting them to achieve their healthiest lifestyle, both physically + mentally. Whether they are a Buff Bride to Be, a Buff Mama, or a Buff Beauty, I believe you should always take the time to work on you FOR YOU!
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
This community helps connect me with fellow moms through their online presence + inspires me when i get to hear their stories!
What is your favorite restaurant in Monmouth County?
What is your favorite activity to do with your children in Monmouth County?
My boys and I love a good beach day! We are so fortunate to live so close to the beach and love to take advantage of it any chance we get!
What are your Mom Goals?
I want to raise strong, kind, respectful boys. Being a well mannered respectful person trumps all. It’s so important that we teach our children that at a young age. I also am a huge advocate of working 110% percent, nothing is given, and consistency is key. I had so many challenges and obstacles throughout my life and if it wasn’t for my drive, my will and my never give up attitude I wouldn’t be where I am. I want my kids to understand nothing is easy but it is always worth it!!! I want to pave an easier path for them but want them to know that hard work is what truly pays off in the end!
