I stumbled upon Giselle’s Instagram @weekendfamgoals and absolutely fell in love with her content. You can tell Giselle is very thoughtful when it comes to her ideas and she is always keeping it real, which we love! Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I’m originally from Newark, NJ and moved to Edison, NJ during middle school. As an adult my
husband and I settled in Old Bridge, NJ about 13 years ago.
Child(ren) and Age(s)?
I have two kiddos, Jason (JC) 12 yrs old and Stella Rose, 7 yrs old.
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
1. I was a flight attendant for American Airlines for almost 13 years, 2000-2012 — I was
working for the Hess Corporation in Woodbridge and filled out an application online
during my lunch break, 2 weeks later I was in Dallas Ft Worth at their airline academy.
2. I jumped out of a plane at 10,000 ft (tandem) with my then boyfriend, now husband after
a few months of dating.
3. I met my husband on Match.Com in 2003 when we all still had AOL dial up!
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
My husband has been my rock through parenthood. We both had a somewhat unconventional
childhood and knew what things we did not want to do while raising our kids. We’re truly a great
team together and help each other pick up the slack for one another.
Favorite things to do with your kids?
I love sharing experiences with my kids. Traveling has always been a passion of mine, but it’s
not always possible with real life responsibilities. I love scoping out new local spots or fun
adventures to expose them to all kinds of sights.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the
corporate world? Please share!
As a New Jersey based blogger and influencer, my goal is to grow within that creative space. I
love beautiful images and writing so I’m working on making those creative outlets more than just
a hobby.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
All the local moms I have met personally and through this social media community have inspired
me to make our ordinary stories into valuable lessons of motherhood. We’re all at different
stages and experiences as moms and it’s so rewarding to share all the little fun nuances that
make our family stories unique to us.
What is your favorite restaurant in Monmouth County?
We’re all kind of obsessed with The Committed Pig!
What is your favorite activity to do with your child(ren) in Monmouth County?
Anything and everything Insta worthy!
What are your Mom Goals?
One of my personal goals is to get back in better shape! It’s been challenging having the kids
home and getting any kind of alone time (or motivation when I do) to focus on my physical goals
— I’m working on changing that this summer!
