Suzanne Veninata is a beautiful wife and mom of two gorgeous kiddies, residing in Rumson! When she’s not hiking or kicking it at the beach with her family, she is killing it in the real estate market! This boss babe knows how to juggle it all. Read more below on how she keeps her family and business going!
Where are you from originally and how long have you lived in town?
I grew up in Moorestown, NJ. I lived in NYC for 18 years and where I met my husband. I had moved to NYC with two of my best friends from college after graduating from University of Delaware. I got a job working for Perrier Company (selling Poland Spring water to offices) and my Dad joked with me “you’re going to NYC the most expensive city to sell something that’s free?” He must have lit a fire in me because I worked my way into jobs in finance and ended my 15 year career in NYC raising money for real estate private equity companies. I met my husband at a later age. We knew we wanted to be together forever right away so we moved things along quickly. After we had our second child, we decided to move to the suburbs and thought Rumson would be the best place to raise our family. We have lived in Rumson for the last 5 years.
Child(ren) and Age(s)?
Hunter is 7 and 1/2 and Isabella is 5 and 1/2
One thing people would be surprised to know about you…
I am a certified yoga teacher and try to meditate as much as I can. I’m always on the go so that will probably shock people. I also have mad ping pong skills and am always up for a game! (challenge accepted!)
Anyone special you’d like to thank for helping you through parenthood?
My brother; he definitely lead the way and taught me how to not get caught (lol). He has always been my shoulder to lean on and always had my back. I am trying to teach the same to my son and daughter, because of my relationship with my brother.
Favorite things to do with your kid?!
We love to be outside and be active. If I’m not taking them to soccer, hockey, or a sport, you can find us hiking in Hartshorne Woods or at the beach. When we are home, I’m the first one to pick up the lacrosse stick and have a catch with them too.
Are you involved in a business venture, a local organization, a creative endeavor, or in the corporate world? Please share!
Yes, I work as a sales associate for Better Homes and Gardens Murphy and Co Real Estate in their Rumson office. After working in the city for so long, I wanted to parlay my experience with the passion I have for real estate, beautiful homes and being a people person. I love the hustle of this industry, but I more so love finding the perfect home for my clients and making them happy.

I am also involved with my children school, I’m on the PTO and Class Mom the last two years. The current charities I sit on the board oaf are the Visiting Nurses Association and newly this year, the Power of Pink Committee. Helping raise money and finding new ways to provide cost-effective quality care at Monmouth Medical. One of our biggest fundraisers is coming up July 18th.
How has this community been instrumental in getting you to where you are now?
I never thought I would be able to leave NYC and be happy, but after seeing what Monmouth County had to offer, I quickly changed my mind. Since moving here about 5 years ago, it’s the perfect suburb with a mix of beach, hiking, boating, great parks, and more importantly an amazing community of people. And it’s still only 50 minutes to NYC!!! I love introducing people and connecting my clients to all that Monmouth County has to offer; from small brick and mortars in Asbury to art galleries in Rumson. I love that I can find NYC influence amongst small coastal towns.
What is your favorite restaurant in Monmouth County?
I would say Undici! It’s such a fun local spot where you are always guaranteed to have a delicisou meal and run into someone to talk to. It has a really cozy feeling and they are always welcoming. it’s really hard to pick one favorite. There are tons of good ones, especially in Asbury and Red Bank. Again, coming from the city
What is your favorite activity to do with your child in Monmouth County?
In the summer, my girlfriends and I love taking our kids to The Seafarer Bar in Highlands for summer nights with music on the water where we can relax and watch them have fun.
My husband and I love taking the kids out on the Navesink River, showing them how to fish and maybe sail this summer.
We also love taking our bikes over to Sandy Hook all year round. The best bike path with beautiful scenery along the way. We will eventually find our way to the top of the Twin Lights too! My kids love hearing about local history!
What are your Mom Goals?
For my children-Patience-ha! I just want my kids to laugh a lot and have memories of us always laughing together, but at the same time, learn respect and manners.
I also have Mom goals amongst my friends. We’re doing the hardest job out there and it’s important to have a drive to have a tribe to lean on and do it with. I’m grateful to have found so many awesome mom friends here. I find it to be the hardest job out there. I also realize time is flying so I try to embrace every moment I can.
