I’ve been looking forward to my husband’s holiday party for longer than I’m willing to admit. It’s nothing extravagant, always with the same nice people he works with, at the same Italian restaurant with mediocre food. I’m friendly with some of his co-workers; we even used to get together outside of work here and there before we had kids. Now, would I rather spend the evening out with friends, or my husband alone at our favorite restaurant? Of course. But with the holidays, times are busy, and obligations are aplenty. Not only do we have to attend the office holiday party, but I also need to make sure I’ve made the cupcakes for the kids’ school parties, pick up the napkins for my daughter’s girl scout holiday get together, buy the teacher gifts, “bake” cookies for the neighborhood cookie exchange (thanks, Flaky Tart!), host Christmas Eve, and of course gift shop for everyone on the list. So a night out with my favorite guy, and an excuse to get a little glammed up, is right up my alley this year.
Leading up to the night I had my outfit picked and my husbands’ shirt pressed, I couldn’t wait to relax and have a conversation with actual adults! I remembered in past years wishing I had planned ahead and reserved a car service, so both of us could enjoy a few cocktails and not have to worry about driving home. It dawned on me that the same on-demand car service I used for my son, ArrowNow, could be our designated driver too! I had the app on my phone already from last time, so I scheduled a time earlier in the day for a car to come pick us up later that evening (I didn’t want to be late!).
ArrowNow arrived right on time, in a sleek black sedan, with a very friendly driver, and yes, the car was super clean (I’m a bit of a neat freak)! We got to our destination, and had a great time. I enjoyed my chicken parm and potato croquettes with some Chianti, and caught up with the office crew. Later, my hubby and I walked across the street for a nightcap before we headed back, just to get some one-on-one time. When we were ready to go home, I booked another ArrowNow car to take us home. We received an ETA for our pick-up (just a few minutes), which gave us a little extra alone time. We got home with no issues and I even put the tip on my credit card as my information was saved in my profile. I’m still impressed with how reasonable the pricing is too! I’m a lifetime customer! So whether it is for holiday parties or when you’re in a pinch, it’s a great service to have in Monmouth County. I’m looking forward to the next night out with my friends…we’ll certainly be en route with ArrowNow!
