I tried Monmouth County’s own ArrowNow, on-demand car service, and I wish I had done it sooner! | The Monmouth Moms

This fall has been incredibly hectic for us moms. Between work, back to school nights, homework, ballet, acting classes, and family events, the weeks fly. Just getting to run to Target alone seems like a mini vaca. Give me a PSL and a walk in the home décor aisle, and I’m recharged and ready to face bath time!

This past weekend was especially crazy. I’ve dedicated Saturdays to my kids’ activities, and typically coordinate with my husband on pick up and drop offs. However, with the hubby away on a guys’ weekend, I was left to my lonesome to figure out the day. On the way home Saturday morning from bringing my mom to the airport, I remembered I had read about a new on-demand car service in the area, ArrowNow. They were familiar to me, because their sister company, Arrow Limousine, was actually our limo service for our wedding (they’ve been around forever).

It’s always made me nervous sending a car to pick my son up with an on-demand service, because you never know who the driver is, and I’d worry the entire time about his safety. But this day I was really in a bind, needing to be in two places at once. I called ArrowNow, after finding out more about them on their site. The woman explained to me that you can book a car on demand or in advance. They also only send drivers employed by ArrowNow, who are required to go through background checks, drug testing, and an extensive training process. ArrowNow also owns their vehicles and ensured me they only send clean, late models. She had me download their app on my phone, set up my profile, and book the reservation for the car and time I needed that day. It was incredibly easy and competitively priced with other on-demand car services I’ve used in the past.

The car showed up promptly at 4:00 to pick my son up from acting class. He responded to my text that “yes, Mom, the car is clean, and yes I’m fine” (teenagers, cue eye roll). And just fine he was. He arrived home safely, I was able to leave a tip for the driver on the app, and write a nice review for helping me get through the day.

ArrowNow also explained to me that every dollar you spend earns you Arrow Appreciation Club (AAC) points, which are points for future travel.

Overall it was a great experience, and even better that they’re Monmouth County-based. My girlfriends and I are also planning on using them for Moms Night Out in a few weeks, which cannot come soon enough!
